A Photograph Of The Town I Live In

Day 4

Say Hello to my hometown:
 Doylestown, Pennsylvania

If you are not familiar with Doylestown, PA it is located about 50 minutes (27 miles) directly north of Philadelphia. If you are not familiar with Philadelphia you may just want to look it up :)
Doylestown is located in Bucks County and is a pretty popular town, it is considered to be quiet a wealthy area. (yet i wouldn't call myself wealthy at all haha) Doylestown's origins date began when a man named William Doyle obtained a license to build a tavern on what is now the northwest corner of Main and State street, and is still currently there today. The town itself is a pretty cute town with many shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars and if for some reason you are not into any of those types of things its just a nice place to walk around in.

Its a pretty busy area with cars and people always around. Both Harry and I decided to stay in the Bucks county area after we graduated college mainly because Harry's job would force him to stay in and around the area, unless he wanted to leave the family business. Up until last week I was a dog walker/pet sitter and was ALL over the place in good ole' bucks county. Currently, I am working right on the outskirts of Doylestown doing the office work and bookkeeping for Harry's company. The company is located in Solebury township and by far the most gorgeous place in Bucks county, I would move there in a heart beat if it wasn't 10 times more expensive than Doylestown is.. *sigh*

In the above picture, the one that looks like a castle and is a castle, that is called the Mercer Museum which is also located right in town. This place is pretty neat  and consists of preserved artifacts of pre-industrial life.  However, to me, its not a normal museum where you see one or two things behind a piece of glass... no there are tons of things hanging ALL over the entire building. It looks something like this inside:

If you are into science, tools and museums I definitely recommend if you are in the area to check it out, its just something neat to see. Another recommendation I have for you if you are in the Bucks county area would be to visit New Hope, PA. Anyone and everyone whose been to New Hope, loves its and says that its just an adorable town! if you get the chance definitely check it out! its located about 20 minutes east of Doylestown (right on the border of PA and NJ)

Well I could probably go on and on about random things in and around Doylestown, but I am just going to stop here. If you are ever in the area lets go for a night out on the town :)
